ivp’s 2026 Season
Tours.
New Works.
Paying Artists.
IVP creates immersive, educational, women-forward documentary theatre that spotlights women who have gone unnoticed throughout history.
In 2026, we continue building from our Gracie Award-winning work while developing new stories that demand to be told.
What we’re building
-

In Their Footsteps: National Tour
Our award-winning documentary theatre piece returns to the road. Built entirely from oral histories of five women who served in Vietnam, In Their Footsteps brings untold stories directly to NYC students and libraries nationwide. Through immersive staging and verbatim testimony, we activate history in classrooms and communities.

lighting the fuse: two NYC workshop productions
During the Great Depression, Hallie Flanagan led the Federal Theatre Project: a radical experiment in paying artists to create work for the public good. Our newest documentary work examines her fight to keep theatre alive when survival seemed impossible.

sustaining the work
Beyond productions, we're strengthening our foundation. This season includes operational costs that keep independent artists employed, expanding our educational outreach division, and continuing to seek out partnerships that honor the communities whose stories we tell.
