About Us
Infinite Variety Productions (IVP) is a registered New York State 501(c)3 production company dedicated to creating work that spotlights women who have gone unnoticed throughout history and demands awareness of women's roles in historical, current and possible events.
Our expertise as a company lies in our commitment to extensive, thorough, and differentiated research, that is then translated into imaginative and accurate dramaturgy throughout the rehearsal and performance process.
IVP takes a communal, collaborative approach to the work. By hosting talk-backs with experts in the subject matter of our work; performing in alternative, environmental, often-immersive spaces; and teaching educational workshops in schools, we initiate a deeply sensorial learning environment that performers and audience members share.
Vision
In our twelve years of producing theatre of all kinds, IVP has remained steadfast in our mission of creating historically-based, women-forward works that are educational and conversation-provoking, while simultaneously pushing the boundaries and definitions of what Documentary Theatre has been and can be.
We see our work with Bloomin’ Buds Theatre Company as a collaboration not only with like-minded theatre pioneers, but with the city and history of Bradford itself. As we build out a multi-track immersive documentary play centered around the Mills so associated with Bradford, we will be reaching into the past and the present simultaneously. It is our goal to bring to life the triumphs and tribulations of Bradford’s working-class history through accessing the dreams, fears and souls of the people of Bradford today.
