Kate Szekely

Kate Szekely is an American actress, producer and teacher. Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Kate’s formative years were spent with her family — an eclectic Eastern European blend of Polish farmers and Hungarian gypsies. Blending the work ethic of the Poles and the passion of the Gypsies, Kate moved to New York City two weeks after turning 18 to pursue a career in the arts, and has never looked back since.
A classically-trained actor, Kate holds a BFA in Theatre with Honors from NYU Tisch and the Stella Adler Studio of Acting. She is also an independent media producer, working for companies like a/b studios (Knoxville production house) and Salons for Life (arts & wellness startup). Additionally, Kate is a 800-hour certified yoga teacher and personal trainer-corrective exercise specialist.
In her spare time, Kate trains in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (she is a four stripe white belt) and gets lost in the great outdoors.
